Full Job Description
Tends filters and related equipment to wash and filter catalytic chemicals used in manufacturing styrene and butadiene: Starts pump to force water into and out of tanks containing precipitate. Titrates sample of wash water to determine when solution is neutralized. Pumps precipitate into slurry tank and wash water to filter press to separate contaminants and recover usable products. Transfers containers of filtered solutions to storage or further processing, using hoist or handtruck.
